Streets & Trees

The City of Philomath is committed to maintaining safe, clean, and attractive public spaces through a variety of programs and services. Our Public Works team oversees essential street maintenance activities, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, signage upkeep, and seasonal storm response efforts. In addition to caring for our roadways, we manage the health of trees and vegetation on city-owned property through our Tree & Environmental programs, supporting a vibrant urban forest and promoting long-term sustainability.

Philomath has proudly held the Tree City USA designation for over 30 years, a reflection of our dedication to tree care, urban forestry, and community engagement. As part of this commitment, the Heritage Tree Program was established to honor and protect significant trees that represent our community’s rich history and environmental values.

Residents are also encouraged to participate in the City’s Leaf & Yard Debris services, which offer free leaf drop-off at the Public Works Compound, curbside collection by Republic Waste, and year-round yard debris cart service—all aimed at keeping our streets and natural spaces clean and healthy.
