The Philomath Municipal Court is responsible for adjudicating violations of the City’s municipal code, traffic offenses, and misdemeanors occurring within city limits. The Court’s mission is to provide fair, impartial, and timely resolution of cases while upholding the rights of all individuals and promoting respect for the law.
The Court operates under the direction of the Municipal Judge and is committed to treating all participants with dignity and courtesy. Whether you need to resolve a citation, pay a fine, or request a court date, our staff is here to assist you.
Please be advised that during court sessions, staff availability to answer phone calls will be limited. While we will make every effort to answer calls, it may not always be possible. If your call is not answered, please leave a message including your phone number, and a court staff member will return your call as soon as possible.

If you do not wish to contest a parking or traffic ticket you have the following payment options.

In person court payments:
- Payments may be dropped off inside City Hall during regular business hours.
- Payments may be dropped off in the drop box after regular business hours.
- Payment types accepted: Cash, check, money order, and credit or debit card.
You will not be sent a bill or statement. It is your responsibility to submit payment to the Municipal Court on time. Failure to pay a traffic citation may result in the suspension of your driving privileges and/or additional fines or fees.
If you wish to set up a monthly payment plan there is a one-time fee that will be added to your balance due, please contact the court clerk to make arrangements.
Municipal Court is typically held twice each month on Mondays at Philomath City Hall, 980 Applegate St.
