City Park is the oldest park in the community. The 10½ acre park with Newton Creek running through it includes many amenities and is the frequent site for community events.

Picnic Facilities
City Park includes two group picnic areas that can be reserved: Randy Kugler Community Hall, includes an indoor/outdoor shelter and gazebo, and Shelter 2, includes an outdoor shelter (see Park Shelter Reservations). Both facilities have electricity available, but only one has water. There are additional picnic tables spread around the park perimeter that are available on an “as occupied” basis.

Amenities
There is a baseball field for local youth games and a skate park designed for beginning skaters to sharpen their skills. This park also has 2 large playground areas and a fitness area. Randy Kugler Hall stays comfortable year-round, with heat provided in the winter.

Restrooms
The main restroom is open daily from 8am to dusk during the summer and winter.  The east restrooms at Shelter 2 are closed from mid October to mid April.

Other Information
Philomath High School borders the park on the west side and a residential neighborhood to the north. The south and east boundaries of the park are undeveloped farmland and trees.
